Nicely done, Susan. I'm particularly impressed with your fiction to nonfiction ratio. I've not once had it happen where my nonfiction titles exceed my fiction titles even though I almost always shoot for that when starting a new reading-year.

That's a great and varied list. I didn't realize you read so much nonfiction. I barely read any at all - only five NF titles in 2019. Do you read NF by whim or by theme?

Sam, I was surprised nonfiction won by so large of a margin.

Ruthiella, looking back, seems like themes emerge: grief, elderly or gravely parents, struggles getting by in America, organizing/discarding, and Susan Sontag.

Malcolm Gladwell! Outlaws on the lam!

Food writing is a perennial favorite.
