Halloween: Taking Suggestions

I've thought of the perfect costume: I'd like to be a bookshelf this year, but since I'm nearly hopeless at crafts, I don't quite know how to execute my vision. Calling all inspired bookworms.

(Now that I've got the idea and help is hopefully on the way, I suppose the next step would be to get myself invited to someone's Halloween party.)

That's the best costume idea ever! I suppose if you actually used wood, it would be hard to sit down. See, you've got me pondering.

Please drop by my blog sometime soon to pick up your "One Lovely Blog" award. Yep, that's what you have. :-)

Wow that is a fantastic idea! The execution is going to be tricky though and unfortunately, I'm not very crafty either. If I think of something I'll let you know!

There's the big box method -- get a big cardboard box, cut arm & head holes, and hang it from your shoulders with duct tape. You can either paste a picture of a bookshelf to the front, or if you are feeling crafty, open the front and put in shelves along your front.

You can make it so your head is resting on the top shelf, and do your face in some clever way to look like a book or the bust of an author or some other library artifact.

Hope your costume turned out and you had a place to show it.
