Happy Book Year!
HAPPY NEW YEAR, BOOKWORMS!!!
(Since I'm in Asia, I'll be saying this again in a month or so.)
The beginning of a new year is so great!!! Overnight, I seem to become my Tough & Cool Inner Bookworm and get back all my brash bookworm confidence as well as enough confidence for several other bookworms:

I am Bybee, hear me roar! I can successfully complete every single reading challenge I come across and beat my personal best (76 in 2004 -- under-employment helped!) and blog daily and write intelligent discerning reviews of what I've read and read everyone else's blog (while continuing to discover new book blogs) and work full-time! No problem! It's January 1, and anything is possible! No, I did not drink too much last night!
I love to make book resolutions:
* I want to complete all my challenges, and if I don't complete them, then I want to do a conspicuous amount of heavy lifting on them.
* This is the year I'd like to get serious about building up my Don Robertson collection. I talk a lot about his Morris Bird III trilogy, but he wrote about a dozen other books I've never gotten around to reading. This is partly because they're difficult to find, but they're out there. Bybee's going hunting, a grim look of determination in her eye and a certain piece of plastic in her sweaty fist.
* Read more books from other countries! (I'm off to a good start on this resolution because I'm the latest recipient of a French novel called The Book Of Proper Names by Amelie Nothomb. It's part of a Bookcrossing ring that's been going on since 2005. Gotta read it and pass it on to the next person in the ring. Also, Herschelian at Reading, Ranting and Recipes generously sent me a novel called The Uninvited by a Chinese writer, Geling Yan. Furthermore, I'm in the Canadian Books Challenge, Eh?)
* This resolution is related to the previous one, but it deserves its own designation: Read more Korean literature! I've lived here 3+ years and have read exactly two nonfiction and one fiction book written by Korean authors. Shameful. Translations are available; I must seek them out.

A just recently read a Korean book, written by a South Korean but about North Korea, called Jin. It was pretty interesting, and a quick one as well!

Happy New Year! You have read a lot of Pulitzers! I am very behind on reading that award, Booker winners seem to be my personal preference.
I love your enthusiasm! Good luck meeting all of your reading goals. I didn't exactly meet mine in 2007, but I hope to improve in 2008. Have a healthy and happy 2008!

I've managed to procure hardcover copies of every Don Robertson book except The Greatest Thing Since Sliced Bread, and I will get that on April 22nd when the paperback re-release (finally) happens!!
I used a sources combination of Abebooks, betterworld.com, Alibris, Amazon Marketplace, and EBay to get all the books, but most can be had relatively cheap in good used condition. I am slowly getting through them, having completed the Civil War trilogy, Flag Full of Stars, and Paradise Falls so far...
