Bird, Bird, Bird -- Bird Is The Word

Getting ready for Game 1 of the World Series.  All 4 of my St. Louis shirts are clean.  I've got my satellite radio set to 865.  I've been following the St. Louis Cardinals on Twitter for a few weeks.  In the cupboard is a bag of pistachios for nervous snacking during those suspenseful innings.

Am I neglecting my reading with all these preparations?  You'd think so, but no -- of course not.  I'm reading Three Nights in August by Buzz Bissinger, which follows Tony La Russa and the Cardinals over a three-game series with the Chicago Cubs during the 2003 season.

Boston, it's not going to be 2004 all over again.  Just put it out of your minds.

My family is superstitious about baseball...of course most people are. We'll be using the same Boston blanket, wearing the same hats, displaying the same Jason Varitek autographs (ETC!) that we did when the won the championship ;)

Ahhh, baseball :D Good luck! I do hope it's a repeat of '04, lol.

Jennifer,
I'm glad you're as devoted to the Red Sox as I am to the Cards. Good luck, Relentless One!

Sorry your team lost, but of course us Boston fans are celebrating. We lost much sleep during the play off and series:)
