1. Which hour was most daunting for you? Hour 11.5. I couldn't go another step. I needed sleep.
2. Could you list a few high-interest books that you think could keep a Reader engaged for next year? I haven't read him, but I noticed that John Green got a lot of love during this Readathon.
3. Do you have any suggestions for how to improve the Read-a-thon next year? No.
4. What do you think worked really well in this year’s Read-a-thon? The challenges and alphabetizing the readers' names.
5. How many books did you read? 3 books and a tiny amount out of two others when I was finicky and couldn't settle.

7. Which book did you enjoy most? St. Mawr
8. Which did you enjoy least? The other two books broke even.
9. If you were a Cheerleader, do you have any advice for next year’s Cheerleaders? Skim through the postings and try to find some sort of comment hook and respond at least partially to what readers talked about or photos they posted in that hour or perhaps a previous hour.
10. How likely are you to participate in the Read-a-thon again? What role would you be likely to take next time? It's likely that I'd participate again and be both a reader and a cheerleader.

ah, yes - the ol' quality comment vs visit-everyone debate! It all depends? I really try to be meaningful when only a few comments but sometimes the need-for-speed take over and I only write:

Good point about the hook. I felt like someone actually cared about my post when they referred to it, as opposed to just a random cheer that I thought they cut and pasted in.

Great feedback. I too appreciated the comment about what I posted but I also enjoyed the CHEERS. I have at least one post with no comments. I'd rather have on CHEERS than nothing.
Great feedback on the cheerleaders particularly the comment hook. I loved all the great cheers I got. There were times though, if I wondered if they'd read my posting or not. Great readathon!!
Thanks for stopping by my blog to cheer me on. I do appreciate the personalized cheers too, but I know they do take a lot longer, and when you are trying to visit everyone you can get a bit burnt out-especially after 20+ hours!
What really frustrated me and took a lot of my time was clicking on blogs of people who signed up and ended up not participating at all.
I did see a few humorous discrepancies between the post and the cheer, like "I have a headache and am not feeling so well" with a cheer saying "You're doing great! Keep up the great work!" Hopefully everyone had a good time anyway!
I was not a big fan of Sons and Lovers, which scared me away from Lawrence. Maybe I would like St. Mawr better. I'm always willing to try!
Congrats! You did great! I didn't sign up as a cheerleader this time around, but I did visit a few blogs, so I think I'll be an official cheerleader next time. ;)
