Readathon Hour One: Game On!

"I'm comin' out, so you'd better get this party started..." -Pink

Just a quick note to say hi, I'm here and ready to read. The good news is that I'm not drunk in another city for start of this Readathon, but the bad news is that it's after 9 pm here and I've been awake since 9:30 this morning, so things might get a little rocky later. But on the bright side, I've got a brand-new haircut for the occasion. And a snack. And books:

The Brief Wondrous Life Of Oscar Wao - Junot Diaz. I'm on page 87 already. I love this book!

When You Are Engulfed In Flames - David Sedaris. This will be my secret weapon. I'll pull it out when my brain turns to mist.

How Koreans Talk - Sang-Hun Choe & Christopher Torchia. This has been on the bedside table for a while, and my bookmark is at the halfway point. Korean idioms and expressions and the history behind them.

Books - Larry McMurtry. I love McMurtry, I love books, McMurtry loves books, I love that McMurtry loves books. How could I go wrong with this choice? Answer: I can't.

The Innocent Man - John Grisham. This will be my first John Grisham read since I abandoned A Time To Kill back in the early 1990s.

Ready...Set...Read!
