Readathon: That 19th Hour Update
My brain's a little mushy in the middle, but crisp around the edges. What the hell...it also happens to be how I like my chocolate chip cookies.
Speaking of food, I stopped for a little snack. Skippy peanut butter and Welch's grape jam on the Korean equivalent of Ritz crackers. (They're called "Zek".) Here's a little bit of sticker shock for you: $6.50 for a two pound plastic jar of the jam and $5.50 for a 1 pound, 3 ounce jar of the peanut butter. I get a lot of meals off of PB&J, so it's worth it to me.
I finally got through the Mr. Linky list of participants in the Readathon. I tried to leave everyone a comment. Kudos to the tough ones who are still up!
Still reading The Witch Of Blackbird Pond. The story is OK, but there's something about Elizabeth George Speare's writing that I don't like. I can't put my finger on it quite yet. Anyway, I've read about 35 more pages. It might be time to switch to something different, like a graphic novel.

Yes, don't hesitate to switch!
You're doing well, mushy brains and all! ;-) Do take another book if this one isn't doing it for you right now!
We're in the home stretch!! *happy dance*
I just happened to make some chocolate chip cookies that you'd love. :D And I read Pyongyang during my blogging break, and it was just as wonderful as you said it was. :D
You're doing great, and you're almost done! :) Happy reading!
That's a pricey PB&J, yikes!
Looks like you're doing great - even if the brain's getting a bit squishy. Switch it up if you need to and keep up the great reading! =D
I think she's a little old fashioned.
But you're still going!
