Readathon: Prelude

Dinner of Champions:  Chili Pie!

What a Bookworm Wears:  Jeans, t-shirt, cardigan.  Bare feet.  My reading concentration is vastly improved if I can wiggle my toes.

Reading location:  Living room sofa, with the Discovery Channel murmuring in the background.  Something about prehistoric life used to crawl the hell around New York City.

What's the plan, Stan?  My intention is to read for 21 hours and cheer other readers on for 3.  We'll see how that goes.

First book?  A Newbery winner called The Higher Power of Lucky by Susan Patron.

Thoughts?  Readers not in the US have an awkward start time, so I'm trying not to wear out my brain too much with pre-Readathon ruminations.  Good luck and happy reading to us all.
