Truth and Beauty is wonderful (and best read in partnership with Lucy Grealy's Autobiography of a face, if you haven't already done so).
ReplyDeleteAs a good Christian girl I *should* have read The Hiding Place (I know everyone else did). One day. And I have the Roald Dahl here somewhere.
Ooh, I remember the comic book version of The Hiding Place! And I would definitely recommend reading Lucy Grealy's Autobiography of a Face if you're going to read Truth and Beauty :)

ReplyDeleteI'm Jack, now resident in Tucson, AZ. before that Cape Town, South Africa... where I plied my trade of technical bookseller for many years. (Also created what became the largest technical/computer/business book section in the South East (US) in Atlanta, GA.... then came NYU Bookcenter in NYC. Nuff said.
I am delighted to see another Bybee in bookselling.
Now, I am, for the next few days an undergraduate at Univ. of Arizona (I graduate on Friday Dec. 14th/15th 2007 with B.A. Studio Art/Creative Writing and Psychology.)
Now, by profession - a technical writer, who wishes he could be back with aching feet and pesty customers on the bookstore floor.
